Welcome to the website of Granted Ministries. It is our earnest prayer that you would be brought deeper into the joy and understanding of the Lord. Our aim is to help you in this direction by the resources that we have made available to you.Our site consists primarily of sermons that are available for purchase or free download. We refuse to profit in any way from this ministry and will give you the resources if you are in any way unable to pay for them.
The messages you will find on this site are not necessarily unique to us. Several of these messages can be found on other, more well-known websites. It is not our aim to be anything special or unique. We are simply endeavoring to serve the people of God with the teaching of His glorious Word.
We are here because we believe that God is mighty to save and that the Gospel is the power of God unto the salvation of men. The sermons and articles on this site are faithful to the Scriptures and the Gospel, have already been used by the Lord for the growth of His children, and, we believe, are especially needed in these days. May the Lord be pleased to use these resources for the renewing of the mind of His bride.

Who We Are
Essentially we are a group of Christians living in or around Hannibal, MO who believe strongly in the need for this kind of effort in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ. We belong to various non-denominational Bible churches in the region, though primarily to Christ Fellowship of Hannibal, and have a sincere desire to see believers grow and mature into sound and strong saints of the living God. Each and every one of us have been profoundly affected, more than once, by listening to a sermon or teaching that was placed in our hand after its original delivery. We have also seen people brought from superficial 'christian' darkness and into true reality and glorious Christian light through such means.We intend this ministry not as just another sermon or resource website, but as a strategic and calculated effort to bring the sound and godly teaching at our hands to a larger group of people. It is our prayer that God would be pleased to use Granted Ministries to effectively multiply the labors of the men who are featured on this website.
Moreover, it is our prayer that this would be done in a fashion that would bring great glory to our Lord.
Our History
Granted Ministries began in September 2002 as an effort of two Bible students at Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, MO. Our purpose was to help students on campus to grow in their faith and knowledge of God. Paul Washer and John Piper were the largest theological influences on our lives at that time. It was our conviction that these men, and others, had helped us so much in our Christian walk that the most faithful and loving thing we could do for those around us would be to do our best to get these same messages into their hands. Eventually we began shipping tapes and CDs across the nation and into some foreign countries.Our efforts were honored by the Lord and we began to see a great change in the lives of many of the students. People were gripped with a sense of God and of grace; we began to see greater and greater degrees of reality in ourselves and those around us on campus -- truly this was a unique time.
Since that time we have increasingly felt the need to have a website to streamline our ministry and to enlarge it by making our ministry of distribution all the easier.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Granted Ministries is to provide Christians with edifying, affordable, and quality resources that will tend toward a spreading of holy living and true godliness. We do this in order that the people of God might come to know the eternal greatness of the One who has called them unto Himself. We also purpose to aid believers in a lifestyle that adheres more closely to the heavenly virtue of the Father. Our aim is to do this through the Word of God, taught by men whom God has already raised up in His church.Our reason for existence is that God has chosen to save and sanctify His people in a way that requires knowledge of Him. This is a truth that is precious beyond words. These things of God, when rightly understood, when surely believed, when used as a spring into action, in short, when met with faith, produce godliness. It is therefore necessary that we learn and seek after the knowledge of God. The need among God's people for vitality and holiness can only be met through the renewing of our minds, so that we see all of life through the eyes of faith and more rightly come to know the great God of our salvation.
The ministry of Granted Ministries is to provide the body of Christ with teaching that seems to have the hand of God upon it. We have no interest in offering weak preaching that is otherwise sound. God has changed lives, and He does so powerfully. When we speak about powerful preaching we are thinking neither of rhetorical ability, nor loud and thunderous voices, nor popular ministries. We think rather of fresh and faithful instruction from the word of God full of reality and resulting in a greater godliness for those that are being saved. Certainly things such as rhetorical ability, etc. have their place, many of the preachers whose teachings we disseminate are wonderful orators, yet such ability in and of itself does not make sound teaching. Our words need not be full of "plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power."
