Text: Philippians 1:21
What is your life? This is the question that Dr. Lloyd-Jones addresses in this article. The true Christian’s life is centered on one person, Christ Jesus. Life is not about companionship, or love for our friends and family, or religion and religious duties. It is not even about living for God, because Jews and Muslims can say that as well. But, it is about living for Christ and having love for Christ. "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matthew 6:21). If Christ is the center of our lives, then we love Him, and this love will consume our leisure time.
Dr. Lloyd-Jones shows us that, whether we die right now or live another twenty years, it means Christ. Can we say with the Count Zinzendorf, the Moravian leader who helped John Wesley, "I have one passion; it is He and He alone"?
